About this app

"Hafizu" is an Arabic app for daily prayer and worship. It calculates prayer times based on your location, alerts you at the time of the Adhan (call to prayer) and before it, and combines supplications, Qibla direction, and your daily worship schedule in one place.

■ Prayer Times
• Fajr (dawn), sunrise, Dhuhr (noon), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (sunset), and Isha (night) prayer times for your day.

• Countdown timer showing the time remaining until the next prayer.

• Browse prayer times for previous and upcoming days.

• Calculations are performed on your device, so the times work offline.

• Multiple calculation methods: Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, North American, Karachi, and Amman.

• Choose your school of thought for calculating Asr: Shafi'i or Hanafi.

• Automatically detects your location, or manually select your city from a list of 52 cities in 30 countries.

• Manually adjusts the minutes for each prayer individually.

■ Adhan and Alerts
• Notification when the time for each prayer begins.

• Selectable Adhan (call to prayer) voices: Muhammad Al-Azzawi, Abdul Basit Abdul Samad, Ali Al-Mulla, a simple notification tone, or no sound.

• Pre-prayer alerts before Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, and Maghrib prayers, with a 15- or 20-minute timer for each prayer.

• Reminders for acts of worship: Duha prayer, Qiyam al-Layl (night prayer), and morning and evening Adhkar (remembrances).

• You can mute any prayer alert for a single day without disabling other alerts.

■ Adhkar (Remembrances)

• Post-prayer Adhkar: 13 remembrances.

• Morning Adhkar: 23 remembrances.

• Evening Adhkar: 23 remembrances.

• A counter: Tap on an Adhkar to track the remaining repetitions.

■ Qibla Direction
• A compass indicating the Qibla direction from your location.

• A compass sensor accuracy indicator with calibration instructions for when accuracy decreases.

■ Nearest Mosque
• A map displaying nearby mosques sorted by distance.

• Distance and approximate walking time to each mosque, with directions accessible in the Maps app.

■ Your Worship Schedule
• Daily tracking of six acts of worship: fasting, charity, Quran recitation, night prayer (Qiyam al-Layl), Duha prayer, and remembrance of God (Adhkar).

• A monthly calendar that colors each day according to your progress, helping you maintain your commitment.

• A Hadith (saying of the Prophet Muhammad) for each day, with the option to share it.

■ Hijri Calendar
• Hijri and Gregorian dates displayed within the app.

• The option to advance or delay the Hijri date by one day to align with the sighting of the new moon in your country.

■ Home Screen Widget
• The next prayer, its time, and the Hijri date displayed directly on your phone's screen.

The entire app interface is in Arabic.
