About this app

Dictation Daddy turns your voice into clean, polished text in any app on your phone.

Just tap and talk. Here's what it actually does:

You say: "So um I need to uh pick up groceries and also like get the car washed and oh yeah call the dentist"
You get: "I need to pick up groceries, get the car washed, and call the dentist."

You say: "Let's meet Monday, no wait, actually Sunday works better"
You get: "Let's meet Sunday."

You say: "I need three things, first update the report, second send it to the team, third schedule a review meeting"
You get:
1. Update the report
2. Send it to the team
3. Schedule a review meeting

No editing. No cleanup. Just ready-to-use text.

It works everywhere. WhatsApp, email, Google Docs, Slack, your CRM, your EHR. Anywhere you can type, you can dictate instead.

Your voice in, polished text out:

Most dictation apps give you a wall of text and leave you to fix it. Dictation Daddy is different. It actually formats your output so it's ready to use.

→ Removes filler words like "um," "uh," "like," and "you know"
→ Cleans up false starts, repetitions, and mid-sentence corrections
→ Adds proper punctuation, capitalization, and paragraph breaks
→ Formats lists, bullet points, and numbered items when you speak them naturally
→ Structures long dictations into readable paragraphs automatically
→ Handles voice commands like "new line," "comma," and "period"

You talk naturally. It delivers text that looks like you typed and proofread it yourself.

Who uses it:

Doctors use it to get through clinical notes faster. It handles medical terminology, drug names, and abbreviations without you having to train it or spell things out. Lawyers use it for case notes and briefs. Business professionals use it to blast through emails and reports. And if you deal with wrist pain or RSI from too much typing, this might be the tool that saves your hands.

What makes it different:

Other voice-to-text tools transcribe your words. Dictation Daddy understands your intent. It knows the difference between you correcting yourself and changing your mind. It takes messy, natural speech and turns it into structured, well-formatted text.

It handles specialized vocabulary out of the box. Medical terms, legal jargon, technical language. No training period, no custom dictionary setup required (though you can add your own terms if you want).

People who've switched from Dragon say the accuracy is better and it costs a fraction of the price.

More features:

→ Works in any app, just switch to the Dictation Daddy keyboard
→ Handles medical, legal, and business terminology
→ Custom dictionary, add your own words and terms
→ Cross-platform, also available on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Chrome
→ Real-time transcription

Pricing:

Try everything free for 7 days. No credit card needed. After that, it's $50/year compared to $1,500+/year for Dragon.

Built by a developer who got serious arm pain from typing and couldn't find a dictation tool that actually worked well. Every feature exists because someone needed it.

Your voice, cleaned up and ready to go. Try it free.

Stumbled upon this keyboard application on Reddit as a dictation keyboard. It actually seems pretty good. It is a little bit sketchy, though, that it is advertised as open-source software, and the moment you click through the tutorial it asks you to subscribe to the premium version for $50 a year. I get it, developers need to make money for their work, but given that this application has almost no downloads, it might be better to offer some sort of free trial option.

Hey Matthew we are not open source and the we do support free trial. There was a listing issue we corrected it and it should be live in next few hours. Just below the payment plans, we have a "Continue with Free" option. Would love for you to try it out again.

awesome, works fast and great! One option I would like to see realized is dictation history, because a lot of times after dictating, it where you submit the message and it gets deleted later and you forgot to save it. Edit: Add the option to remove all capitalization and punctuation for casual chats with friends like Discord, Messenger, etc.

Thanks Auditormadnes9 we are working on the free solution. Currently it cost us a bit because we have to run the ai model, but we are working on a completely free version as well. Thanks for the suggestion for the casual chat mode. We are going to incorporate that as well in the product.

I've been using this app for the last few days, and I'm blown away by the accuracy of the speech‑to‑text. It's way better than Dragon Anywhere, and the developer is very helpful. Openly, quickly responds to support requests and takes feedback.
