The app has steadily gotten worse over the years as they aggressively try to monetize everything they can, try to push people to "fun" and "hip" garbage. I just want a dictionary app that provides definitions, word of the day, saved word lists, etc. I don't want them to spy on me for ads in the app that I paid for. Very disappointed in the direction they have gone, they used to be the best, but now it's time to move somewhere else.

The app provides definitions, thesaurus, encyclopedia, medical and science definitions, rhymes, and more, and you can customizable tab order. That's all fantastic. It's useless, tho, without an internet connection unless you download the offline dictionary. But then you get definitions and thesaurus but lose everyting else, even when connected to the internet. So you get either all the features some of the time or only a few of the features all the time. And that's just stupid.

It would be nice to be able to see a picture of an example of the word, instead of having to Google it afterward. Update 11/4/22: Same annoying problem as before where you tap in the search box and the keyboard doesn't come up. Also it seems like you should be able to toggle between dictionary and thesaurus under the search box, but it doesn't work when you tap on it. 11/8/22: It takes forever to open, it's quicker to just open Google. What did we pay for?!
