About this game

Kiki in Balance is a serious game designed as a therapeutic tool for patients with neurodevelopmental disorders, both on the autism spectrum and epilepsy. Gnosis Kids together with Digi Learnnials developed this tool that stimulates the following executive functions:

- work memory
- cognitive inhibition
- upgrade

To achieve this stimulation, we focus the playful design on the following aspects:

- Eliminate trial and error through randomness.
- In the first levels mechanics are introduced, using only visual memory.
- As we move forward, we remove the possibility of visual memory and go to working memory and representations, hiding the recipe and modifying its colors randomly.

- Towards the middle of the game, we changed the forms and increased the speed of the game to increase the difficulty.

- Towards the end of the game, interference, reaction times and random rules are at their best.

The cognitive cycle is intensive, and must test the player all the time to generate a constant stimulation that develops the aforementioned abilities.
