About this app

Digitalgrub Chat is a messaging app for teams that would rather not hand
their conversations to somebody else's platform. It runs on your own server,
so the messages, the files and the call records belong to your organisation
and nobody else.

MESSAGING THAT KEEPS UP
- One-to-one and group conversations
- Photos, files and voice messages
- Reply, edit, forward and react
- Mentions that notify the person you meant
- Pin the message everyone keeps scrolling back to find
- Messages you write offline are queued and sent when you reconnect

CALLS THAT ACTUALLY RING
- Voice and video calls, one-to-one or with the whole group
- A locked phone rings like a phone: full-screen incoming call, answer and
you are in
- Miss a call and it stays joinable for as long as anyone is still on it
- Meeting links people outside your team can open in a browser and join by
typing their name — no account, no install

GROUPS YOU CAN RUN
- Admins can add and remove members, set roles and rename the group
- Joins, invitations, removals and changes appear inside the conversation
- A full activity log for the question "who changed that, and when"
- Any admin can take down a message

ON YOUR OWN SERVER
- No advertising, no tracking, no profile built from your conversations
- Sign-up is by invitation, so only people you invite can create an account
- Delete your account from inside the app whenever you want

Also available in any browser at your own address, so a laptop needs no
install at all.

What’s new

Reset your own password: tap "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen. Add your email address first under Settings > Email address.
Shared screens can now go full screen during a call.
Unread chats show a dot; chats that mention you show a count.
