WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE NOUNS TOPIC?

The special Nouns lesson in the Learning Center covers the distinctions between proper and common nouns, concrete and abstract nouns, singular and plural nouns, and collective nouns. It explains how nouns can take case, possessive, plural and genitive suffixes; how the function of a word as a noun or adjective can change depending on the sentence; and points that are frequently confused in exams, with examples. Then you can test your knowledge with five explanatory questions.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

First, quickly review the basic distinctions from the three visual guides. In the “New • Learning Center” section, you can search for topics, review detailed explanations and examples, take topic tests, or choose a test type from the “60 Practice Tests” section.

Lessons, examples, and questions are available without an internet connection after installation. No account is required. The best test results are stored locally on the device only. Banner ads may be displayed on the app's classic topic screens.
