OrcharDex is an orchard and plant manager I originally built for myself because I wanted a practical way to track trees, cultivars, reminders, harvests, photos, and orchard history. I intend to keep developing it over the years as I think of more ways to improve and add to it.
What started as a personal tool became OrcharDex: a focused app for growers who want clean recordkeeping and local control. Whether you are managing a backyard collection or planning a more serious orchard, OrcharDex helps keep important details organized and easy to review.
Know you're variety? Type it in and the cultivar catalog has been seeded with knowledge of common bloom times for most of the fruit across all USDA zones in America. Override that yearly time if it's off in your particular area.
With OrcharDex, you can:
- track trees by orchard, species, bloom dates, and cultivar
- record planting details, notes, and status updates
- maintain cultivar wishlists and collection progress
- create reminders with date and time scheduling
- log events, milestones, and harvest history
- attach photos to trees and records
- review what is due soon from a single dashboard
- export and import manual backups
OrcharDex is designed to stay simple, private, and dependable.
- no account required
- no ads
- no analytics SDKs
- no server sync
- no internet permission
Your orchard data stays on your device unless you choose to export a backup yourself. Reminder notifications are generated locally on your device, and photos are stored for use inside the app without broad media permissions.
I built OrcharDex to solve my own orchard planning and tracking problems first, and that personal use shaped the app into something straightforward, focused, and practical for everyday growers.
