Audio recorder - is an open source application makes an easy audio recording experience.
App optimized for the fastest start as possible and helps not to miss important sound for the user.

There are few recording formats available:
M4A format is encoded with AAC audio codec has good quality and small size.
Waveform Audio File Format (WAVE, or WAV) audio file format standard for storing an audio bitstream on PCs. Stores audio data uncompressed.
3gp is a multimedia container format developed for mobile telecommunication services. Use it if you need to save space.

In settings, select sample rate, bitrate (for M4A and 3GP only) and stereo or mono.
Selected preferences directly affect on record file size.

With colorful themes, customize app looking, and make the experience better for you.

Wait, this app doesn't collect a bunch of my data, audio recordings, show me 3 ads after I finish my recording, or limit me to mono recordings? And it's free? Kudos to this developer for doing things the right way. After going through 10 abysmal apps on the Play Store, this is the only one that just did things right. The app works well with my external USB C mic and gives a bunch of options for audio recording formats, sample rate, mono/stereo and default filename. Thank you Dev

so far it works perfectly. from my testing it doesn't lose the recording if you accidentally swipe close the app through recent apps. it stays open in the background. it does lose the recording if the app fully closes. like force closing it or the phone dying. also if it does die while recording the recording file gets bugged and it can't be deleted in the app. you have to clear the app's data to get rid of it. but that also deletes all recordings so back them up first I guess.

Does exactally what I searched for an app to do. Little did I know, I would find this so fast! Record a message and send it to social media accounts, to your friends, etc. You can send audio files to whatever or whoever is on your send list. I'm just getting started in finding out all the possibilities this app provides and it's free with no ads! The author is too kind to put out such a great app at no charge! I'd pay for a pro, but this is already a pro!
