Most of the world trade borne by ship. Ships are used to carry companies various classes of goods and materials by means of solid, liquid and gas format from one country to another. ships can come up to ports which is usually connecting place of land and sea waters or river waters/harbors. Shipping industries depends on sea and ships. It transfer goods from manufacturer to consumer like as, Manufacturer>Goods>Buyer>Charterer>Shipper>Local Agent>Shipping through sea>Local Agent next port>Custom/C&F>Charterer>Buyer>Consumer. The personnel responsible for navigating the ship must know the distance between two sea ports. To determine distance they should choose economically shortage but safest trading route. For choosing unsafe route if any demurrage will happen it will call insurance claims, Which is unwanted. This app made choosing navigationally safest route to find accurate distance between ports. To find marine distance the app "Port To Port Distance" is very user friendly and easy to find distance from one port to another port. This is a distance calculating app for mariners, shipper, shipping agents and marine related fields. Navigators make route between ports as part of passage plan using ECDIS or Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) extraction/Generation software according to their required draft of the ship corresponds to depth of the water. These app use moderately common draft of the ship.
To travel from one sea port to another the cruise ships also can use this app.

How to use this app:-
> first type any port name in "Departure Port" box, then type or select any other port name in "Destination Port" box
>Remember that 1st Letter of any Port name should be Capital letter and other should be small letter. Example: Barcelona, not barcelona.
> then click on "Find Distance" button you will get distances between your desired ports
> Select Speed from dropdown menu as per your need.
> when you choose a speed from drop down menu automatically you will get your Required Time to travel this distance at your selected speed. Time to travel will show in a box beside the text "Time Require" or Time to Travel".
suggestion: Select the route appropriately. whenever you will not find long route, then use part by part route, means before your destination port there might be a renowned port, you can select that one first. After that also if you do not find a desired route or distance between your selected ports, pls inform us the route you would not find, we will modify and update data as early as possible.

Hopeless. I typed in four different ports and two of which were not recognised.
