About this game

Hwatu is the Korean flower-card game, played with the same 48 cards as hanafuda. Hwatu Learn teaches you the cards, lets you play, and shows you exactly where every point comes from.

LEARN THE 48 CARDS
• Browse every card by month and by type: Brights, Animals, Ribbons and Junk
• Each card shows its English, Korean and Japanese names
• See how each card is used when you score

PLAY MATGO AND GO-STOP
• Two-player Matgo, or three-player Go-Stop against two computer opponents
• Cards you can take are highlighted
• Watch every play unfold: your card flies to the table, the deck card flips, and the cards you win slide into your pile
• Jjok, Ppeok and Ttadak are called out the moment they happen
• Stuck? Use a hint. Watch a short ad for 3 more, only if you want to

SEE WHAT EVERYONE HAS COLLECTED
• Captured cards are stacked as Brights, Animals, Ribbons and Junk, with a count on each pile
• Tap a pile to spread every player's cards out large

UNDERSTAND THE SCORE
A score is more than a number. Each result is broken down into Three Brights, Red Ribbons, Godori and the rest, with the reason each one counts.

MAKE 21
Make 21 with flower cards. The month is the number, and every card shows its value underneath, so the months stick as you play.

COUNT A REAL HAND WITH YOUR CAMERA
Hold your real cards up to the frame one at a time to build a hand, then see the score and its breakdown. If a card is read wrong, add or remove it by hand.
