Nightdial — the radio you leave playing while you fall asleep.
Radio drama and comedy from the 1930s to the 50s, plus talk and news, streaming live
over the internet. Mystery and crime, sci-fi and horror, comedy, the big band era —
pick a genre and leave it on.
■ Scheduled play
The radio turns itself on at the time you set. Choose weekdays and it repeats every week.
Pick the channel and the volume in advance. Set auto-stop and it shuts off on its own.
■ Sleep timer
From 15 to 120 minutes. The sound fades out over the last minute so it will not wake you.
■ Reconnects by itself
Streams drop during the night. Nightdial quietly reattaches, and after repeated failures
it moves on to the next channel. When the connection itself is down it waits for it to come back
instead of cycling through channels for nothing.
■ Keeps playing with the screen off
Control it from the lock screen and the notification shade.
■ Channels
378 channels that were checked for a live signal ship with the app (81 old time radio).
They are grouped by genre, and you can switch English-only channels on or off.
The station list was built from Radio Browser open data and each stream is served by its
broadcaster. This app is a player and does not re-host any broadcast. No account is
required and no personal data is collected. Favourites and schedules stay on your device.
Live streaming uses data — Wi-Fi is recommended.
