Noise Detector turns your phone into a sound level meter, a simple noise meter and dB meter for everyday use. Measure the noise around you in decibels and see how loud your home, office, street or workplace really is.

🔊 WHAT IS SAVED STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
A recording is the dB readings from that stretch — the numbers that drive the dial and the graph — stored privately on the device. Microphone audio is not written to a file, not played back, and not uploaded. You can delete a recording at any time from Saved Recordings.

This app is intended as an auxiliary tool. Phone microphones are typically calibrated for human voice frequencies, which may affect dB accuracy. For professional results, we recommend using a certified sound level meter.

Ratings and reviews

Very Good! I found the end of life, illusive, intermittent beep of an old co² detector, in a box of stuff. I could only guess the room. I did three tests in each corner and found it buried in a stack of boxes! Critique; In a quiet room the gauge and meter hold the last reading until another sound then stops again. But that worked well for my use. Settings contain no user settings, only app and purchase information. It would be awesome if the sensitivity was adjustable! FULL SCREEN ADS NEED AN X!

Works really well. My only issue is the advertising that you are forced to watch. It disables the back button, and the only way to get rid of it is to press the home button and then open the application again. Just don't touch anything inside the app otherwise it will force another advert onto you, forcing you to close the app again. I deleted it because it's a real pain. Plus I held my breath for 40 seconds and it was still picking up breathing when there's only me in that room. Very strange

Seconds after launching the app, I got an ad. After that ad, before I had even had a chance to scan the screen to see what the app displayed, I got hit with a second ad. App is being uninstalled.
