About this app

A fast and powerful app that lets you explore the famous fractal known as the Mandelbrot Set. Allows you to pan and zoom (with tap and pinch), and change the number of iterations with the volume up/down buttons. Also allows you to preview the Julia set corresponding to any point on the Mandelbrot.

Offers two modes of rendering the Mandelbrot set:
- Simple double precision, with limited zoom but very fast performance.
- Arbitrary precision with GMP and GL shaders, unlimited zoom, but slower performance.

Ratings and reviews

Pretty good, but it's basic. It works fast and intuitive on the Mandelbrot set and the 3rd and 4th power variations of it. No ads and no tracking! The main problem with it is that it uses programming double data type, which limit the maximum zoom to about 1e14. Rating 5 stars for now because this is the best Mandelbrot set explorer on Android, but on PC Kalles Fraktaler is way way way better.

a good mandelbrot app, though hard to swipe at first, the experimental one was easier to control. Although, it's very laggy at the experimental and the simple one was quite hard to swipe, and I got some inaccurate placing on the experimental, like random spots appearing and straight up a distorted bulb that just became a Celtic, still great though nonetheless

mind blown.. i wrote my own version using bitmaps and its very slow. I cant seem to figure out how this is possible. some people saying its just a big image, but thats impossible given that the precision goes to about 16 digits. who cares that its not infinite zoom, its incredible it can zoom at this speed as it is. not sure if developer would share how its done or not.
