About this app

MathLens is a camera math solver: snap a photo of a math problem and get a step-by-step solution that explains the reasoning, not just the answer. It also helps with physics and chemistry homework, checks your own working and plots graphs.

SCAN AND SOLVE MATH PROBLEMS
Point your camera at a printed or handwritten problem, or pick a photo from your gallery, and the math solver reads it and solves it: fractions, algebra, equations, inequalities, word problems, geometry, trigonometry, logarithms, limits, derivatives and integrals. If a page has several questions, choose one. If a symbol was misread, fix the question and solve again.

STEP-BY-STEP SOLUTIONS
Every answer comes as numbered steps with the reason behind each one, then the final answer. Still unclear? Have it explained another way: simpler, like you are 10, or why the method works.

GUIDED MODE: HINTS FIRST
Learn it instead of copying it. Guided Mode gives one hint at a time: try the next step yourself, tap Show Next Step when stuck, and reveal the full solution only when you choose.

CHECK MY WORK
Take a photo of your own handwritten working and MathLens marks it step by step, points to the first mistake and shows the correct answer. A quick homework check before you hand it in.

PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND MORE
Pick a subject on the camera: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Literature or General. Get help with physics problems, chemistry equations and biology questions. Translate mode translates the text in a photo into more than 50 languages.

GRAPHING CALCULATOR
The Graph tab plots up to three functions at once. Type a function, use the math keyboard or take a photo of it. Pinch to zoom, tap the curve to read values, and see roots and turning points found for you. Graphs work offline and can be shared as a picture.

TYPE, DRAW, CALCULATE
No photo? Type the problem on a math keyboard with fractions, roots and powers, or write it with your finger on the Draw Board. A scientific calculator and a searchable formula sheet (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, physics, chemistry) work offline too.

AI TUTOR FOR EVERY SUBJECT
Chat with an AI tutor for math, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography or literature. Ask follow-up questions, attach a photo, get a topic explained simply or ask it to quiz you. Chats are saved, so you can pick up where you left off.

PRACTICE AND EXAM PREP
After a solution, tap Practice this problem for flashcards, a quiz and a quick recap. In the Study tab, type a topic, snap a worksheet, or upload a PDF or a recorded lecture to get study notes and practice questions with an answer key. See answers as you go, get scored at the end, or take a timed exam.

PROGRESS AND HISTORY
Every solved problem is saved in History. Progress shows your day streak and problems solved by subject, and makes a PDF report to share with a parent or teacher.
