The only options to share articles are Bluetooth and "nearby," which I presume is NFC. Also, ads ads ads. I don't entirely begrudge the banner ads on articles. I get it that newspapers have always relied on adspace for revenue. But the splash screen ads and, worse, auto-playing videos are a step too far. I'm a subscriber, I shouldn't have to wait for a full-screen ad to load every time I open the app. And no one should be subjected to auto-playing videos.

App starts with a noisy splash ad. I paid for a subscription anyway using Google Pay and found I couldn't read the articles. I went to the website, which is way better than the app for layout and organization, and learned that the price I was charged was for print + digital, not digital-only. (They don't deliver in my area, and I wasn't asked to provide address info.) I called the service number and was told to "wait a couple of hours". I'm requesting a refund.

Bad app, bad website. Called customer service after experiencing technical problems on website and in app. The person I spoke to intially told me the website was fine, argued with me over what I was trying to do (sign up for newsletter which wasn't working), then after further belittling me and what I was trying to do finally looked and found there was already a ticket open for just my issue.
