Dock Shift is a crate-pushing puzzle. A warehouse floor, a handful of crates, and a mark for each one. Walk into a crate to push it. You can never pull a crate back, which is what makes the whole thing a puzzle rather than a chore.
Every floor in Dock Shift was built backwards: crates started on their marks and were pulled away step by step, and the layout you get is the one furthest from the finish. That means every level is solvable — there is no chance of being handed something that cannot be done.
Each level also shows the shortest possible number of pushes, worked out by a search before release. Finishing at that number scores full marks; every extra push costs a little. Undo steps back as far as you like and reset puts the floor back as it was, so experimenting is free.
Ten floors, from one crate in a small room to four in a tight one. Each floor is fixed to its level, so the one that beat you is the same one when you return.
