Pathfinder mobile app allows users to capture and upload documents by securely connecting them to their organization’s Docupath platform tenant using a tenant code provided by an administrator.
To get started, users enter a tenant code once to link the app to the correct tenant. After the code is submitted, the app directs the user to confirm which organization within that tenant should receive the documents by entering the organization email address (the email address for the organization the documents should be sent to). This ensures documents are routed to the correct organization from the start.
Once the organization email is provided, the user is redirected to a device setup page where they can assign a name to the device. After completing these steps, the app securely authenticates the user using access tokens and establishes a trusted connection to the assigned tenant and organization environment. This is a one-time setup per device, allowing users to continue using the app without repeating the onboarding flow.
Once connected, the app automatically updates device information in the Docupath platform, including device installation ID, device name, linked organization email, and last-used timestamp. This ensures accurate device visibility and helps organizations maintain oversight of connected devices.
After granting camera permissions, users can capture documents directly within the app. Each captured document can be reviewed immediately, giving users the option to verify clarity and completeness before uploading. If necessary, documents can be recaptured to ensure only high-quality images are submitted.
Pathfinder also supports selecting documents from a list view. By tapping the gallery icon on the camera screen, users can browse previously captured documents and choose one or multiple documents to upload. This provides flexibility in how documents are prepared and sent.
When ready, users tap “Send Documents” to securely upload the selected documents to Docupath. Documents are automatically delivered to the correct tenant and the correct organization by using the tenant connection plus the organization email provided during onboarding. Users can continue capturing, reviewing, selecting, and uploading additional documents at any time without repeating the setup process.
