The Pathfinder Application requires the Pathfinder Connector device and works Android 4.3 or higher and up with Bluetooth 4.0 and BLE.

The Dogtra GPS Application works with the Dogtra Pathfinder and brings GPS tracking and E-collar training right to your smartphone.

Have been using this system for about 3 years and have had a great experience with it. Until the latest update. App will no longer run in the background, as soon as my phone screen goes off, it will shut down & stop tracking my dog. I have gone over all the settings and cannot find a way to make app keep running. Only thing I can do is leave phone's screen on, but that dramatically affects my battery life, and I have never had to do that before, it would continue to run and notify me.

This ecollar has really simplied my life keeping a very high energy GSP on my property where there is no fence! But I have several suggestions that would make this app much better! #1... Upgrade the Bluetooth to BLE 5.0 or better... I am forever having to restart the app just because I walked 30ft away. #2... Make the "Truck Marker" optional.. 99% of the time using the collar I'm at home! #3... Make it where you can make "Map" the default screen in the e-collar tab. I have more but out of space!

App seems to work correctly, however. I would like to see the maps move as I move. I don’t like having to pan every little bit to keep me and my dogs on the screen. Google Maps, Waze, etc. maps stay with you as you move around, wish this one did. I can’t find a setting for it, so I believe it the way it was designed. I would like to see some other functionality added like the ability to take a picture or video without leaving the app and the ability to connect to galaxy/android watch like you can with the apple watch. Overall a decent app just needs some updating.
