About this app
Fileco is a local file converter for Android. Convert compatible images and PDFs, audio, video, text, tables and archives directly on your device. File contents are not uploaded to a Fileco conversion server, and no account is required.
CONVERT WITH A CLEAR WORKFLOW
• Choose up to 10 files with Android's system picker.
• Fileco detects each file type and shows only compatible output formats shared by the selection.
• Follow progress in an optional notification.
• Open completed files directly from your on-device history.
• Save results to Downloads/Fileco or a local folder you select.
IMAGES AND PDF
• Open JPEG/JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF, HEIC/HEIF and supported AVIF files on Android 12 or newer.
• Depending on the source and device, create JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or a single-page PDF. Common tasks include HEIC to JPG, WebP to PNG and image to PDF.
• Export the first PDF page as JPG or PNG, or all pages as PNG files in a ZIP archive.
• Extract embedded PDF text on Android 15 or newer. Fileco does not provide OCR.
VIDEO AND AUDIO
• Process common video containers including MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, 3GP, MPEG, TS, FLV, WMV and OGV.
• Depending on the source streams and device support, create MP4, WebM, MKV or GIF files, or extract audio.
• Convert compatible audio to MP3, M4A with AAC, WAV, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis or Ogg Opus.
TEXT, TABLES AND ARCHIVES
• Convert TXT, Markdown and local HTML into compatible text, standalone HTML or PDF output.
• Convert CSV, TSV and flat JSON tables locally.
• Repackage ZIP, TAR, TAR.GZ, TAR.BZ2, TAR.XZ and 7z as ZIP, TAR or TAR.GZ.
LOCAL FILE PROCESSING
DolomiteByte operates no Fileco conversion backend and receives neither your files nor their names, URIs, detected types or chosen output formats. History and settings remain on your device. If you select a cloud document provider, it may retrieve the source file under its own terms; Fileco does not upload it to DolomiteByte.
ADS AND JOB UNLOCKS
For one file up to and including 250 MiB, a preloaded full-screen ad may appear after you tap Convert. If it is unavailable, conversion starts immediately. Batches of 2–10 files and files over 250 MiB or with an unknown size require an explicitly started rewarded ad. Only an earned reward unlocks that job. Banner, full-screen and rewarded ads are provided by Google AdMob. Ads, privacy choices and their availability check require internet access; file conversion itself remains local.
LIMITS AND COMPATIBILITY
Fileco does not convert every file. Available targets depend on the format, content, codec, Android version and device. Office/OpenDocument files and RAR are detected but not converted. Encrypted, DRM-protected, damaged or unsupported content may be rejected. Conversion can change quality, metadata, transparency or embedded content. Keep important originals and check each result.
