Studies show that the vast majority of gender-based violence incidents have one thing in common: a few very specific verbal insults tend to be shouted by perpetrators at the same time. UNDERCOVER is the first app trained to recognise these insults.
When the AI hears these phrases, the app secretly starts recording the entire incident that follows, helping victims collect evidence against their abusers. If the AI determines the incident is escalating into a potentially life-threatening situation, an emergency alert is sent to a pre-determined trusted contact.

- Recognises the verbal abuse known to accompany physical abuse in both English as Cantonese.
