DoomBlock is an app, website, and keyword blocker for people who want a hard line between themselves and their most distracting habits — not just a timer, an actual block.
Block what's DOOMING you.
WHAT IT BLOCKS
• Apps — block them outright, or allow a few timed sessions a day with a cooldown before you can get back in
• Websites — block specific sites in your browser, even inside other apps' built-in browsers
• Search terms — block searches containing keywords you choose, on Google, Bing, YouTube and more
• Short-form feeds — kill Reels, Shorts and other endless-scroll feeds without blocking the whole app
HOW BLOCKING ACTUALLY HOLDS
DoomBlock uses Android's Accessibility Service to detect which app is in the foreground and which web address your browser is showing, so it can block the instant a restricted app or site opens. Everything it checks stays on your device and is discarded immediately — it is never stored or sent anywhere. DoomBlock also uses Device Admin permission so blocking can't be turned off by simply uninstalling the app mid-urge.
• A cooldown stands between you and switching blocking off, so one weak moment can't undo a month of progress
• PIN-protect your settings so "just this once" never wins
MODES & SCHEDULES
• Strict Mode — instant enforcement, no warnings
• Session Limit — allow a set number of timed sessions per day, with minutes you control
• Schedules — block all day, every day, or only the days and hours you choose
• Built-in stats show your screen time and where it really goes
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
DoomBlock works fully offline with no account required. An optional free account only backs up your settings and suscription status so they survive a phone switch.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
DoomBlock uses Android's Accessibility Service to enforce blocking in
real time. With your permission, the service detects which app is
currently in the foreground and reads the web address shown in your
browser's address bar, so it can compare them against the apps,
websites and keywords you chose to block and show a block screen when
something matches.
This information is checked on your device and discarded immediately.
DoomBlock never stores your browsing history, never transmits it, and
never shares or sells it. The service does not read your messages,
your passwords, or what you type. You can turn it off at any time in
Android Settings → Accessibility.
Block distracting apps, sites & keywords. Stay focused.
