DotBGE encrypts files and messages directly on your Android device. No DotBGE account, no advertising, and no file-upload service. Your files and keys stay under your control.
Built on the open .bge format, DotBGE uses RSA-4096 and AES-256-GCM to protect documents, photos, PDFs, media, archives, folders, and text messages. Encrypt for a trusted contact using an identity card, or use password mode when you need a shared passphrase.
ENCRYPT FOR A PERSON
Add a trusted contact and encrypt a file so only the holder of that identity's private key can open it. No password needs to be exchanged.
IDENTITY CARDS
Share your public identity by QR code or .bgekey file. Scan or import someone else's card to add them as a contact. Your private key is protected by Android Keystore and device authentication.
BACK UP AND RESTORE YOUR IDENTITY
Create a password-encrypted identity backup and save it somewhere you control. On a fresh installation, choose whether to create a new identity or restore an existing backup.
PASSWORD MODE
Encrypt a file or message with a passphrase. Anyone who knows the password can decrypt it, making this useful for one-time sharing.
OPEN .bge FILES FROM OTHER APPS
Open encrypted files from Android's file picker, email, cloud-storage apps, or the system share sheet. DotBGE routes them into a private decrypt-and-preview flow.
PREVIEW AFTER DECRYPTING
Preview supported photos, PDFs, text, audio, and video inside the app without creating a persistent decrypted copy.
LOCAL ENCRYPTED VAULT
Keep encrypted files in an app-private vault protected by your device authentication and screen-privacy controls.
OPEN FORMAT
The .bge format is documented and portable. Your encrypted files are not tied to a DotBGE account or proprietary cloud service.
DOTBGE PRO
Decryption, preview, and single-file encryption remain free. Pro unlocks batch encryption, folder and structured encryption, an unlimited vault, and multiple identities. Choose a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase through Google Play.
Useful for:
• Sending confidential documents to a specific person
• Encrypting private files before sharing or storing them
• Protecting text messages with an identity or password
• Keeping control of your own encryption keys
Encryption protects content, but losing a private key or password can make encrypted files permanently inaccessible. Keep an encrypted identity backup and protect its password.
