Faithful translation of the old Amiga version. Touch interface is done very well though my hand gets in the way a lot of the time. Still hard as hell and makes me cuss a lot - great game!
F.R.E.A.K.I.N.---AWESOME---GAME I played it as a kid one and two. Gotta give it up to those two games they kept me off tha streets & got away from heading towards the wrong direction "RTYPE"out muthatruckers
Kinda tricky without the joystick, thumb blocks the view of what's coming from behind... otherwise it's just like being back in '87. Except this time no need to spend all my lunch money ;-)
I've played this on Arcade, Sega Master System, CBM Amiga, Sinclair Spectrum, Gameboy, PS One, and now Android. Still can't get past the 5th stage without cheating. Has the Bydo Empire responded to Danmaku games by hiding in a corner? Have their fleets retreated indoors because it might be "a bit cold out there"? Have they f**k. I expect to be playing this well into my dotage on a Samsung Galaxy 200, finally defeating Boss Bydo, with my last dying breath.
Paid about $100 back in the 80's for the cartridge on the Sega Master System. Now I have it with inflation for over 300 cents :-) I never could get past level 4 so I will have to see if I can do so now.
Very good reproduction of the original arcade game I lost a ton of quarters to back in the 80's. It's a good buy.
