About this app

Not sure whether something you saw online is real? AI4Debunk helps you check it.

Send in a claim, a link, a photo, a voice message or a video, and the app runs it through a set of AI detectors built for the AI4Debunk European research project. You get a clear result, and you can see what each check found instead of just a verdict.

WHAT YOU CAN CHECK
• Text and links – paste a headline, a post or a web address
• Images – photos and screenshots, including signs of editing or AI generation
• Audio – upload a file or record a voice message on the spot
• Video – clips you want a second opinion on

SCAN WHAT'S IN FRONT OF YOU
Point your camera at an article, a poster or a headline. AI4Debunk reads the text on the page and any QR code, then checks what it finds.

WHAT THE CHECKS LOOK FOR
• AI-generated and manipulated images, audio and video
• AI-written text
• Misleading or unsupported claims
• Clickbait and emotionally manipulative wording
• The credibility of the website or source behind a link

BUILT TO EXPLAIN, NOT JUST DECIDE
Every result breaks down into the individual checks behind it. If you think a result is wrong, tell us from inside the app. Reports go to the project team.

YOUR HISTORY, YOUR CHOICE
Create a free account to keep a history of what you've checked and see your own statistics. Prefer not to sign up? Continue as a guest and check things right away. You can delete your account, and the data tied to it, from your profile at any time.

MADE FOR EVERYONE
• Available in English, Dutch and Greek
• Light and dark mode
• Three text sizes

PRIVACY
We ask for the camera only when you scan, the microphone only when you record, and your photos or files only when you choose something to check. We don't ask for your location. Read the full policy at https://chuniversiteit.nl/unlisted/ai4debunk-privacy-policy

A NOTE ON ACCURACY
Automated detection is a tool for judgement, not a replacement for it. A result can be wrong, so treat it as one input alongside your own checking.
Check text, links, images, audio and video for signs of misinformation.
