About this game
Double Sur is the classic South Asian trick-taking card game — the one you may know as Double Sar, Double Sir, Court Piece, Rang, Rung, Hokm, Coat or Kot. Four players in two partnerships, thirteen tricks, one trump suit, and a scoring twist that makes every hand tense: winning a single trick means nothing on its own. Tricks pile up face-down in a pending pool, and only when your side wins two in a row — a Double — does the whole pool come home.
HOW IT PLAYS
The trump caller sees their first five cards and declares the trump suit — the rang, or hukum. From there it's Court Piece: follow the led suit if you can, play any card if you can't, and the highest card of the led suit — or the highest trump — takes the trick. Win seven of the thirteen tricks to take the game. Sweep all thirteen as the trump-calling side for a Coat; sweep them against the trump side for the rare Dunk Coat and a big set bonus. Aces carry their own restrictions on completing a Double, exactly as at a real table.
PLAY OFFLINE OR ONLINE
• Offline against the AI — three opponents at Beginner, Intermediate or Expert. Expert counts cards, tracks the trumps still out, keeps its winners in reserve and holds the boss trump for the deciding last trick.
• Online with friends — create a room, share the code, and play a full set with three other people on their own phones.
