About this app

Melon is an app for sharing rides to children's training sessions, activities and events. A school, club or nursery sets up an organisation, and parents and guardians in the same trusted group use it to agree who drives the children and when.

You always know the same things: who is driving, which child is riding, where from and where to, at what time and in which car. No messages scattered across several chat apps, no guesswork.

WHAT MELON DOES
• Ride requests and offers – say your child needs a lift, or offer the free seats in your car. Trips "to the activity" and "from the activity" are planned separately.
• Group map – see who needs a lift and who can take children.
• Live ride – when the driver is on the way to your child or bringing them, you see the car on the map and how many minutes until it arrives.
• Notifications at every step – new requests and offers, pickup, drop-off, change of plans.
• Driver navigation – a route with every pickup on the way. Pickups and drop-offs are logged when the car stops at the place (the driver can cancel this).
• Authorised pickup contacts – the driver sees who may collect each child and can call them.
• Urgent help – if you can't make it, one tap asks the group to pick your child up.
• Group chat – quick arrangements between parents in one place.
• Ride history – who drove, when and in which car, for the last 12 months.
• Savings – how much time, distance and CO₂ shared rides save, plus the organisation's green ranking.

WHO IT'S FOR
• Parents and guardians who want to share the school and club run with other families.
• Sports clubs, schools and nurseries that want to organise travel to activities. Organisers manage groups and events in a web panel and can import schedules and parent accounts from a CSV file.

SAFETY AND PRIVACY
• You only see the groups your child belongs to.
• The driver's location is sent only during a ride. Only the guardians of the children in the car see it live. The app does not track you outside rides.
• You unlock the app on your phone with a PIN or biometrics.
• You can delete your account and data in the app: Profile → Delete account.

The app is available in Polish and English. Accounts are created by the organiser – if you don't have sign-in details yet, ask your school or club.
