About this app

qBittorrent Client is a remote control for the qBittorrent server you already run. If you have been opening a browser, typing an IP and a port, and then wrestling with the web interface on a small screen, this is for that.

Nothing is downloaded on the phone: everything happens on your server. The app talks to its Web API, shows you what is there and lets you act on it.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• See your torrents with their state, progress, speeds, time left, ratio and seeds.
• Filter by state, category and tag, search by name and sort however you like.
• Stop and resume, force start, recheck, reannounce.
• Delete, choosing whether the downloaded content goes with it. That box is never ticked for you.
• Select several torrents at once and act on all of them together.
• Open a torrent's detail: full figures, file tree and trackers.
• Change the priority of one file or of a whole folder.
• Rename, move, change the category, copy the magnet link.
• Add torrents by pasting a magnet or a URL, or by picking a .torrent file, with category, save path, tags, speed limits and the option to add it stopped.
• Share a magnet from your browser and have it open here, already filled in.
• Search using your server's own search plugins and narrow the results down.

THE SEARCH FILTERS

Searching for "dark 2017 1080p spanish" usually returns nothing, because releases do not say "spanish" — they say SPANISH, SPA, ES or Castellano. Here you search once and narrow down what came back. The filters are read from the results themselves, so you only see the ones that would help, and they group the spellings: tapping SPANISH also finds the ones written SPA or Castellano.

SEVERAL SERVERS

Save as many as you like and switch between them from the title. One is marked as the default and is the one it connects to on opening.

YOUR CREDENTIALS STAY HERE

Your username and password are stored encrypted with the Android keystore, on your device. They are never sent anywhere but your own server. There are no accounts, no analytics and no ads. They are excluded from backups, so they never travel to the cloud.

BEFORE YOU START

You need a qBittorrent server with its Web UI enabled, and its credentials. This app neither installs nor bundles qBittorrent.

If your server is on your local network, Android 16 and later ask for permission to reach it. The app will ask when you type a local address; without that permission the connection just waits until it times out.
