About this app

gruBuddy connects people who cook with people who want to eat.

Browse what is being cooked near you, order it, and have it brought to your door by someone local. Every kitchen is a real person's kitchen, and every dish is made to order.

FOR EATERS
• See what neighbouring kitchens are making today, and what can arrive soonest
• Sort by what is nearest, or narrow to a postcode
• Order for now, or pre-order for a day and time the kitchen can honour
• Ask a kitchen a question before you buy
• Follow your order from accepted to delivered, on a map

FOR COOKS
• Open your own kitchen and set the hours you actually cook
• Put up a menu, with photographs, and say which days you make each dish
• Sell leftovers from a party as a one-off, with a window and a portion count
• Accept or decline each order within five minutes, so nobody is left waiting
• Get paid directly, through Stripe

FOR DRIVERS
• Carry food from a kitchen to a door and get paid for the run
• Set the hours you are willing to drive, and take the runs you want

Payment is handled by Stripe. gruBuddy never sees or stores your card details.

Location is used to find kitchens near you and to price delivery by distance. While you are carrying a delivery, your position is shown to the person waiting for that order, and it stops when the delivery does.
