About this app

Drive for Sun makes trip planning simple by merging forecasts from several trusted weather sources into a single, reliable consensus. Whether you're planning a weather road trip across Canada and the United States or just want to know if it'll rain this afternoon, Drive for Sun gives you a clear answer without having to compare several apps yourself.

🌤️ WEATHER — A consensus, not just another forecast
• Merges forecasts from independent sources (ECMWF, Environment Canada, GFS, ICON, and more) into a single consensus forecast, more reliable than any single source
• A "Sources agree" badge tells you at a glance whether the models agree — know when to trust the forecast and when to stay cautious
• 7-day forecasts, with hour-by-hour detail for the next 24 hours, so you can plan every leg of your trip
• Temperature, feels-like, humidity, wind, and precipitation always at hand
• Live weather radar (MSC GeoMet data) to watch rain approach, with an animated timeline
• Official weather alerts built in (Environment Canada, National Weather Service) so you stay informed of warnings for your location
• Check each source's historical accuracy at your exact location, so you know which one is right most often where you are

🧭 DESTINATIONS — Find where the weather is best
• Search and compare the weather in multiple cities instantly
• Destination discovery: scan several places at once to find where the sun is shining
• Save your favorite places for instant access to their weather
• Explore nearby points of interest (parks, attractions, viewpoints) right on the map

🚗 ROAD TRIP — Plan a route that respects the weather
• Generate a multi-day itinerary between your starting point and destination
• Every stop shows its own weather, so you can adjust your route based on real conditions
• Warnings if a driving segment exceeds a reasonable number of hours per day
• Alternative stop suggestions if the forecast somewhere doesn't fit your plans
