Dry Fire Hunt is an app designed to help simulate field match training. Users use screen mirroring to share their devices screen to a television or other display, calibrate the scaling for the screen, and then practice running field match stages.
Using the app to it's full extent requires diopter lenses for both the rifle optic and the binoculars, such that the optics can focus on the screen approximately 11-12' away. With diopter lenses on the binoculars, users can search for targets just like real field matches, a skill that is difficult to practice during dry fire.
Each stage has a range officer briefing, followed by a countdown and then simulated real world scenarios from actual shooting venues from around the world.
The app includes a few stages for free in the basic tier. Standard and Pro subscriptions include additional stages each month, along with dynamic wind. Pro subscriptions include the latest matches as they are released, along with the dynamic target feature that moves some targets to keep stages fresh and new longer.
All tiers include optional target highlighting, allowing the user to continue executing the rest of their training plan even on hard to find targets.
