About this app

DryFire Pro turns your phone or tablet into a true-to-size 10m air pistol target for dry-fire practice at home.

Phones and tablets don't report their real screen size, so most target apps show an image at the wrong physical size. DryFire Pro fixes that: you calibrate the display once against a bank card, a sheet of A4, or a ruler, and every ring is then drawn at its exact millimetre size — rescaled correctly for whatever distance you actually have room for, from 3 ft up to a full 10 m.

CALIBRATE ONCE, TRUST THE SIZE
• Match an on-screen bar to a bank card's short edge, an A4 sheet, or enter a ruler measurement directly
• On iPhone, a known-device table proposes a scale and asks you to confirm it against a real card
• The scale in use, where it came from, and a Recalibrate link stay visible under the target — a wrong scale is never silent
• Reset and recalibrate at any time

PRACTICE AT THE DISTANCE YOU HAVE
• Any practice distance from 3 ft to 10 m; ring sizes rescale to match
• Drag the target up or down to clear a camera cutout or match how your device is mounted — the position is remembered
• Optional dotted alignment line from the top of the screen down to the target
• Show or hide the inner rings

THREE DISPLAY MODES
• Paper — classic black rings on white, with a choice of paper tones
• Range HUD — dark, electronic-scoreboard styling
• Night — deep red for low-light practice; red light preserves dark-adapted vision far better than white or amber

BUILT FOR REAL SESSIONS
• Hardware brightness slider (5–100%) in the controls panel, restored to your original setting when you leave
• The screen stays awake for the whole session — no auto-lock mid-string
• Optional start cue in Night mode: a soft "ready" tone, then a "fire" tone after a random 1.5–4 second delay, so you can keep your eyes on the target instead of a countdown
• Portrait or landscape, phones and tablets

PRINT A REAL TARGET
Export the same target as a PDF and print it at 100% / Actual Size. The PDF is laid out in real millimetres, so it needs no calibration of its own. A printed 100 mm ruler on the page lets you check that your printer didn't rescale it — if that ruler doesn't measure 100 mm, your print settings are wrong, not the target.

WHAT THIS APP IS NOT
DryFire Pro is a target and a timing cue — nothing more. It does not detect shots, score hits, or use your camera or microphone. It is built for dry-fire practice: sight alignment, trigger control, hold and handling drills, without ammunition. Always follow your range's rules and the firearm safety laws where you live.

No account, no ads, no analytics, and no internet connection required. Your calibration and preferences are stored only on your device.
