About this app

Breakthrough DTS Play-Fi(R) technology powers simple, great-sounding whole-home wireless audio systems for smartphones and tablets. You can stream your favorite tunes over Wi-Fi right from the Play-Fi app to speakers from DTS Play-Fi product partners. It's a huge step up from Bluetooth - the audio quality and reliability are outstanding, and you can enjoy music from your phone in one room, or all your rooms.

The "Hi-Fi over Wi-Fi" listening experience is just a touch away, thanks to this handy app. Choose a speaker, choose a song, and your favorite tunes are streaming all through the house.

The app offers built-in streaming options: stream from worldwide music services such as Tidal and Deezer; use AM/FM and Internet radio, connect to DLNA servers, or play anything from your devices’ music library, including your playlists. The app automatically organizes and indexes the music for you.

The app also handles set-up for your speakers, and gives you full control of volume and speaker selection. Choose one, or stream to all of them at once.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have a Play-Fi product from Polk Audio, Definitive Technology, Wren, or Phorus, please search for and download the custom Play-Fi app for your audio brand.

Please also note that the Play-Fi app is companion software to audio products enabled with Play-Fi technology. It is not intended as a stand-alone audio player.

Used to be a great app and used it all of the time with my Elite F4 smart speakers. Now when I open the app, all it says is searching for devices, even though the speakers are connected to the same wifi. If it does randomly work, it crashes as soon as I try to open a music service. Really disappointed

Regarding the comment from the dev below, nothing has changed. Transfer to speaker still doesn't work with latest update. This version of the app can't use the transfer to speaker feature with _any_ of my speakers. I have to use an old version of the app on an old phone with android 9 to make it work. Can't play to their own phorus speakers now. What the heck is going on here? half of my speakers (klipsch) don't work with Alexa.

Such a frustrating app. I switched from Tidal (because Play-Fi doesn't support its highest quality setting) to Qobuz; the in-app Qobuz module frequently skips to the next track in the middle of a song or crashes. It's maddeningly unstable. Ironically, the only music service that works seamlessly with Play-Fi is Spotify - and that's the one with the worst sound quality of the lot. Shame that Tidal/Qobuz can't integrate Play-Fi into their standalone apps like Spotify does. Might solve some issues.
