DuckingBlock quietly stops spam, scam, and robocalls before your phone rings — and, unlike most blockers, it shows you the real count of what it caught.

No app can block every spam call: scammers spoof real numbers and spin up new ones every day. DuckingBlock is honest about that. What it does do is check every incoming call against a large, always-updating list of known spammers, plus smart real-time patterns that catch the obvious fakes — so you get a lot fewer junk calls, automatically.

WHAT YOU GET (FREE)
• Real call blocking — confirmed spam numbers are stopped before they ring, using Android's call-screening service.
• Real counts — see how many calls were blocked today and over the lifetime of the app, plus a recent-blocked list. No vanity numbers.
• A community-powered blocklist that updates in the background — every report makes it better for everyone.
• Smart pattern filters (Android only) — real-time rules that flag spoofed or suspicious numbers even when no list has seen them yet. These default to a "Spam?" label (a notification), never a silent block, and people in your contacts are never flagged.
• Choose your blocking level — Soft (highest-confidence numbers only, fewest false positives) or Standard (the balanced default).
• Report a spam number in two taps. A single report never blocks a number on its own — it's a weighted signal.
• Your own personal block list.

PERMISSIONS
• Call screening / phone — so DuckingBlock can see an incoming number and block or label known spam. This is the core of the app.
• Contacts (optional) — so people you know are never flagged as spam. Your contacts never leave your device.
• Notifications — to show the "Spam?" label when a suspicious call comes in.
