One of the best ways to learn a new language is by reading books in it. But this can soon get very tedious, as you frequently need to switch between the dictionary and the book you're reading. Duofolio's purpose is to make that experience a little bit easier. It has a built-in dictionary that lets you find out the meaning and listen to the pronunciation of foreign words without breaking your concentration.

Duofolio supports two-way translation in more than a hundred languages.

A pretty good app and a great idea. I tried using it for Spanish and while it did work, it didn't recognize a lot of words. If the dictionary size is expanded upon that would make it very useful. It also doesn't recognize inflection which can be confusing for new learners. It's not a bad app just needs more work.

In short: Great app. Does very well what the app announces it does. Really good app to read epubs. Font size and line spacing are customisable. There is a dark background mode. Translations are made with google translate. The app does what it's meant to and it does it well. I don't think it required any other permission besides accessing the files to find the books. Would some extra features be usefull ? Sure ! Bookmarks and a quick way to go back to the index would be very useful.

It's a really good app. It was always so tedious to translate words I didnt know in french when I was reading. This makes it possible to translate in real time, which is awesome and doesnt interrupt the reading flow. It is a great epub reader for language learning
