About this app

Duo Mobile works with Duo Security's two-factor authentication service to make logins more secure. The application generates passcodes for login and can receive push notifications for easy, one-tap authentication.

Additionally, you can use Duo Mobile to manage two-factor authentication for other application and web services that make use of passcodes.

Duo Mobile also has a companion app for Wear OS, Duo Wear, making secure authentication even more convenient on your smartwatch.

Note: For Duo accounts, Duo Mobile needs to be activated and linked to your account before it will work. You will receive an activation link as part of Duo's enrollment process. You may add third-party accounts at any time.

Additionally, we will request access to use your camera for the sole purpose of scanning QR codes when activating accounts. Accounts can be activated by other methods if you choose not to do so.

I'm extremely frustrated by the fact that this app doesn't work with older phones. I do not think it is particularly reasonable for my institution to require you to have the lastest phone in order to even use their IT, but they do! My phone isn't even that old but just isn't supported, and options like verification by text are no longer available. Thanks Duo.

Doesn't always send push notifications, so I have to open the app. Other than that, great! Works well for authentication, and they recently added the ability to automatically transfer accounts to a new phone, which happened immediately and seamlessly for me :)

One less star because of a minor usability thing which would make life easier for those us who need to type in codes into the app. The keyboard does not open up to the numpad or keyboard + number row at the top when clicking on Enter Code from a notification. Instead it opens to the default keyboard without the numbers requiring Pressing+Holding or manually switching to the keypad. Otherwise, it works well. I don't have issues receiving the appropriate notifications, either.
