About this app

Duo Mobile works with Duo Security's two-factor authentication service to make logins more secure. The application generates passcodes for login and can receive push notifications for easy, one-tap authentication.

Additionally, you can use Duo Mobile to manage two-factor authentication for other application and web services that make use of passcodes.

Note: For Duo accounts, Duo Mobile needs to be activated and linked to your account before it will work. You will receive an activation link as part of Duo's enrollment process. You may add third-party accounts at any time.

Additionally, we will request access to use your camera for the sole purpose of scanning QR codes when activating accounts. Accounts can be activated by other methods if you choose not to do so.

Mostly it works but when I most needed cloud backup it didn't work. None of the keys generated were valid. Luckily I had backup codes and ultimately was able to repair my phone. I'll probably be moving to Microsoft's Authenticator as that app's backup worked flawlessly and is cross platform (iOS and android) rather than buy a spare phone... Duo doesn't allow cross platform backups nor support older versions of Android. So don't bank on using an old phone or your work iPhone in a crisis etc.

Rubbish Worst app ever. Says it works on Android Go and it can be installed but it barely functions. Somehow gets out of synch. Constantly force stopping it and restarting phone. Apparently it still runs on Android 9 but they have removed it from the play store. Shame because I have an Android 9 phone which works perfectly well, but I can't get rubbish duo installed on it. So I have now offered a new phone which has cost me a lot of money. Thanks a bunch!!!!!!

I'm extremely frustrated by the fact that this app doesn't work with older phones. I do not think it is particularly reasonable for my institution to require you to have the lastest phone in order to even use their IT, but they do! My phone isn't even that old but just isn't supported, and options like verification by text are no longer available. Thanks Duo.
