About this app

Prompta is a teleprompter app for video. Your script scrolls right under the camera, so you keep eye contact and nail it in one take. Made for Reels, TikTok, Shorts, YouTube and LinkedIn videos, vlogs, online lessons, speeches and presentations.

No account. No watermark. Your scripts stay on your phone.

READ AT YOUR PACE
• Smooth teleprompter scrolling at the speed you set, in words per minute
• Voice scrolling: the text moves while you speak and waits when you pause. It listens for your voice, not your words, so no internet is needed
• A reading line always shows where you are
• Split your script into sections and jump between them with one tap
• See the time left and check your video length against your target platform

RECORD IN ONE TAP
• The camera opens with your script on top. A short countdown and you're rolling
• Front or rear camera, portrait or landscape
• Focus and exposure lock, video stabilization (if your phone supports it), framing grid
• Screen light for the front camera, flash for the rear camera
• Optionally stop recording automatically at the last line
• Videos are saved straight to your gallery (Movies/Prompta), ready to share

HANDS-FREE CONTROL
• Volume keys: pause, resume or rewind
• Bluetooth keyboards, presentation clickers and foot pedals work right away, and you can assign your own keys
• Voice commands: say "continue", "stop", "start over" or "next paragraph" (Android 13+)

TEXT MODE
Use Prompta as a prompter without the camera: read while filming with another camera, on a teleprompter rig with beam-splitter glass (mirror or flip the text), or while presenting live. Lock the screen to avoid accidental taps.

YOUR SCRIPTS
• Write, paste, or import TXT, Markdown or Word (DOCX) files
• Headings in Markdown (#) and Word become sections automatically
• Autosave and version history: restore any earlier version
• Search your scripts and recordings
• Optional recording reminder on the days you choose

EASY TO READ
Choose the font, weight, text size, line and letter spacing, text color, background dimming, side margins and reading line position. Light and dark theme.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No sign-up. Your scripts and recordings stay on your phone and are never sent to us. Export everything as one ZIP backup, restore it anytime, or delete all your data with one tap.

FREE AND PREMIUM
