About this game

You wake in an ancient dungeon with the dead on your trail, and you cannot fight them.

What you do have is a pouch of Grave Dust. Throw it on the floor and the dead stop to feed, buying you a few precious seconds to slip past, pull a lever, grab a key or reach the stairs. Every pinch counts.

DUSTBOUND is a tense top-down stealth escape game in hand-crafted-looking HD pixel art.

OUTWIT, DON'T FIGHT
• No weapons, no combat. Bait, sneak, hide and run.
• Every throw is a decision: the dead must feed, and dust is scarce.
• The lantern lights your way and gives you away.

SIX REGIONS, SIXTY LEVELS
• The Forgotten Cellar, the Rotting Catacombs, the Drowned Vault, the Bone Foundry, the Hollow Monastery and the Last Ossuary, each with its own traps and mechanics.
• Levers, pressure plates, gates, flooding channels, crushers, flame vents and crumbling bridges.
• Every level is generated and checked by a solver, so it can always be escaped.

FIVE KINDS OF DEAD
• Shamblers lumber after you. Crawlers lunge. The armoured Ironbound shrug off traps. Listeners hear you running. Wraiths drift through walls but fear firelight.

SIX BOSS ESCAPES
• The Cellar Warden, the Crypt Eater, the Drowned Keeper, the Furnace Abomination, the Bell Revenant and the Grave Sovereign. You can't kill them. You can only get away.

ENDLESS DESCENT
• Go as deep as you dare in endlessly generated floors and chase your best score with shareable seeds.
