You are Eugene Mensch, a veteran private eye who has been hired to investigate the disappearance of Henry Carlsburg, a wealthy media magnate who went missing after the unexpected death of his son. Henry is believed by many to be dead, but his wife Ruth believes otherwise.

Ruth provides you with little information concerning Henry's disappearance but has put her trust in you to find out what has happened to her husband.
