DwellNote is a Bible and sermon-notes app built around one thing: writing.
TYPE A REFERENCE, GET THE VERSE
Write "John 3:16" in the middle of a sentence and it becomes the verse - the actual text, in your translation, in under a second. No copying, no switching apps, no tab full of a Bible website. The whole Bible is stored on your device, so this works with no signal at all.
BUILT FOR SUNDAY
Record the sermon while you type. Each line you write is stamped with the moment you wrote it, so tapping a line jumps the audio to what was being said when you wrote it down. Notes carry the preacher, the passage and the notebook they belong to.
THE REST OF THE WEEK
- Prayer list, with the passages you are praying attached
- People you are trying to stay in touch with, and follow-ups so you actually do
- Cards for the quotes, passages and ideas worth keeping
- Reading plans: the Psalms, the Gospels, Proverbs, the New Testament
- Highlights, bookmarks and collections of scripture
- Search your notes and every verse in the Bible, in one place
READS LIKE A BOOK
Light and dark, a type scale that goes up to genuinely large, red letter on or off, verse numbers on or off, and an accent colour you choose.
NOTHING LEAVES YOUR DEVICE
There is no account and no sign-in. There is no server of ours for your notes to be sent to, which means there is nothing to breach and nothing for us to read. Your notes, recordings, prayers and contacts are stored on this phone and stay here unless you share or export them yourself.
We do not collect analytics. There is no crash reporting, no advertising identifier, and no third-party code that phones home. We do not know how many notes you have written or whether you opened the app today.
You can back your whole library up to a file whenever you like, and take it with you.
SCRIPTURE
King James Version and the World English Bible ship inside the app, both in the public domain. The World English Bible is dedicated to the public domain by eBible.org.
DwellNote is offline-first on purpose. A sermon does not wait for a connection.
Type a Bible reference and the verse appears. Sermon notes that work offline.
