About this app

Unlike streaming services, aaos Player lets you sync once from Google Drive and play offline. No ads, no tracking, no subscriptions.

Native AAOS app
Installs from Google Play. Integrates with your car's media interface, steering wheel controls, home screen, and notifications. Album art on home tile, now-playing screen, and notifications.

Sync from Google Drive
Sign in, share your music folder with the app's sync account, tap Sync. Folder structure is preserved. New files added, removed files cleaned up. Sync runs in the background.

True offline playback
After syncing, no internet needed. No USB drives required.

Voice control
Play by artist, album, or track name. "Play music" to resume. Works through your car's built-in voice button.

Folder browsing & search
Browse by folder structure. Search tracks, artists, albums, and folders. Play all tracks in a folder recursively. Large folders paginated automatically.

Playback controls
Play, pause, skip, seek, shuffle, repeat. Album art. Steering wheel support. Large touch targets. Resume card on home screen.

Audio focus
Choose behavior during navigation prompts: keep playing, mute, or pause. Respects manual pauses. Settings update live.

Playback persistence
Track, position, and queue saved automatically. Resumes after car restart.

Storage management
See library size. Clear all local files with one tap.

Formats
MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC, WAV, Opus

Privacy
No ads, no profiling. Crash reporting via Firebase Crashlytics to improve stability. Internet used only for sign-in, sync, and crash reports.

Requirements
Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Android 10+, Google account for sync.

❗ How to set up Google Drive sync

1. Open aaos Player settings
2. Tap Sign in and select your Google account
3. In Google Drive (on your phone or computer), right-click your music folder → Share → add drive-sync@aaos-player.iam.gserviceaccount.com as Viewer → Share
4. Back in aaos Player, tap Sync now

Your music will download to the car. On future syncs, only new or removed files are updated.

You can share multiple folders - they all sync into one library.
