About this game

Hearts is most commonly played by 4 people. There are no formal partnerships, though there are times when players will find it in their interest to help each other.

Hearts is also known under a number of different names around the world, including Chase the Lady and Rickety Kate, and is similar to the game Black Lady. In Turkey the game is called Queen of Spades, and in India it is known as Black Queen.

A standard 52 card deck is used, with the cards in each suit ranking as usual from ace (high) down to two (low). There is no trump suit.

Each heart is worth 1 penalty point and the Queen of Spades is worth 13 penalty points. The other cards have no value.

The aim of the hearts is not to win tricks that contain certain cards that score you points.

Beware of AI Players - They don't cheat but they don't show mercy.

Ratings and reviews

There are flaws in the program. It will not allow me to break hearts but other players can. Diamonds was leas, I only had spades and hearts, but the game would not let me put a heart down yet the next player did. If this is some alternative rules, I've never seen it before and should be an option. Too bad I was enjoying the game but these are weird rules.

Good version of the game except hearts can be lead whether they're broken or not which obviously affects the game in a negative way and makes it kind of unplayable because that's not hearts.

Just all around bad game.
