Events and daily puzzles keep things interesting. Upon making three mistakes, you're forced to watch an ad to continue. This is annoying, but ads are cheap to disable permanently. However, the three-strikes system remains and the game doesn't feel like real sudoku as a result - you can't experiment easily with solutions, you're encouraged to make zero mistakes because the free version is monetized based on mistakes forcing you to watch ads.

The game works fine and as one should expect. But the ads are excessive. Before, during, and after the game. I've seen replies saying it's economical to show ads during long games... But showing an ad at the 3:38 mark of a 4 minute game and then showing an ad at the end of the game (not to mention the ad at the beginning), too? And then there are ads that force you to wait for 30+ secs before giving an esc option or crash. Also, the ads override my music/media, so it's extra annoying.

I get the need for ads to keep it free, but there's so many now it feels like one of those copy and paste fake mobile games. Also they completely changed the hint function and now it's basically useless, giving you a hint for a random square and usually not being helpful at all. This used to be my favorite sudoku app, plenty of options with different skill levels, daily and themed challenges, great layout, design, and overall a great app. But now I'm debating moving to another
