About this app

Eco listens through the microphone, transcribes what is being said and translates it on the spot. You see both at once: the original sentence and its translation, line by line, while the conversation is still happening.

It's for the meeting where not everyone speaks your language, the class you want to follow without losing the thread, a doctor's appointment, paperwork in another country, or a conversation with someone who speaks a different language.

WHAT IT DOES

• Live captions — the transcript appears as people speak, not at the end.
• Real-time translation — original and translation side by side, so you can check one against the other.
• More than 30 languages — switch the target language mid-session without stopping anything.
• History — every session is saved, and you can read it again, share it or delete it.
• Keeps running in the background — switch apps and the capture doesn't stop.
• The same account on Android, iPhone and Mac — one subscription covers all three.

FREE AND PLANS

You start with 10 minutes a month, no card required. If you need more:

• Lite — 300 minutes a month
• Pro — 1,000 minutes a month (about 16 hours)

Subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled any time from Google Play. If you bought your plan on an iPhone or on the web, it works the same here: it's the same account, managed where you bought it.

PRIVACY

Eco only records when you ask it to, and it shows: a red indicator stays on screen the whole time. Audio is processed to transcribe and translate it, and is not stored. Transcripts stay on your phone; you can delete any of them, or your entire account, from inside the app.

REQUIREMENTS

Microphone permission and an internet connection. Transcription and translation run on servers rather than on the phone, which is what lets it work just as well on a mid-range device.

What’s new

If you start recording on another device, this recording stops on its own and what you had is kept in your history.
A device left mid-recording no longer blocks the others: its turn frees up in under two minutes.
