As part of the implementation of the project, the AIGINA GEOculture application was developed, the purpose of which is to highlight the marine cultural heritage of Aegina, specifically the sunken ancient port facilities with interactive digital applications, through which the residents and visitors of Aegina will be able to experience the history, the operation and current location of the ancient port facilities.
The acquaintance with the ancient port facilities has been achieved through new technologies and with the digital application for smart devices (QRCODE system): the visitor while standing in predetermined positions on the beach front of Aegina and hires rich surveillance material.
