Easy-to-use, lightweight app. No ads! App appears to be as accurate as can be expected using Android device. Uses phone mic to detect signals. Phone mics are not as sensitive as professional SPL meters/dosimeters. However, this app is excellent in its own right for checking common everyday sound levels. Also, It would be nice if the app had a reference listing indicating what devices are equivalent to producing such decibels detected. I fully recommend this app.

Seems to work quite well. Simple operation. Simple, easy to read display. Yes it records if you wish. FREE and currently NO ADS. ;-) ...as a side note... after reviewing comments on other meters, these things (which should be obvious) are entirely dependent on your device's mic. So don't expect results on par with actual Decibel meters.

This is a nice app however it really needs to have a larger dial that's first thing the dial needs to be graded more so that you can see the little tick marks between each one of the numbers, and the recorded data needs a date time stamp on it so you know when the data was accrued. Otherwise this is the first app I've seen that actually records the information.
