SSM-native Subaru datalogging with customizable digital gauges, a built-in log viewer, knock and configurable alarms, engine-health data, and estimated 0–60 and quarter-mile performance. Record video with a vehicle telemetry overlay.
Pair with the EcuPulse Wear OS companion to display gear and telemetry on your wrist, with configurable vibration cues for your target shift RPM.
SUBARU TELEMETRY
Use Subaru SSM with compatible ECU firmware and matching definitions. Depending on the vehicle, available channels can include RPM, boost, temperatures, fuel trims, DAM/IAM, feedback knock correction and fine learning knock correction. Channel availability varies by ROM and adapter.
RECORD AND REVIEW
Start a recording manually or configure a throttle trigger. Available telemetry can fill a pre-buffer before the trigger. Add markers, choose a detected pull, review channel coverage and compare recordings. Import or export CSV logs, or share a tuner package with available recording-start context. Event flags identify configured conditions for review. Missing channels cannot be assessed, and no flags does not establish a safe engine or tune.
DISPLAY AND ALERTS
Customize gauges, units and day/night appearance. Configure compound alarm conditions, optional tones and spoken alerts. On supported phones, optional on-device voice commands control logging, markers, pages and silence. Hardware buttons provide fixed log, marker and page shortcuts on the dash.
OPTIONAL WEAR OS COMPANION
The separate Wear OS app displays phone telemetry with an RPM ring, gear and a selectable gauge. Choose NONE for a larger gear display; warning gauges take priority. Configure haptics, shift cues and remote actions on the phone. Crown and side-button actions depend on what the watch exposes to apps. A paired Android phone, compatible companion versions and matching signing are required. Wear OS 3 or later is required.
OTHER TOOLS
- Trouble-code reading, with readiness and freeze-frame information where supported. Clearing codes resets readiness and may reset ECU learning.
- Event snapshots and ECU learning-state views.
- Estimated performance timing and wheel power, from the car's acceleration or, without road speed, ECU airflow. These are estimates, not calibrated timing or dyno measurements. GPS agreement does not certify a run.
- Phone video with a telemetry overlay.
- Wideband integration for supported controller outputs, calculated channels and per-car configuration.
HARDWARE AND LIMITS
Designed for OBDLink MX+ / compatible STN adapters over Bluetooth, and Tactrix Openport 2.0 or, on pre-2015 K-line Subarus (not BRZ), a K-line (KKL) cable over USB-OTG. Hardware, firmware, ECU definitions and vehicle modifications affect available features and sampling rates. Check the adapter notes in the EcuPulse user manual before choosing an adapter. Configure and review while parked; let a passenger operate the phone on the road.
PRIVACY
Free, with no ads or EcuPulse account. EcuPulse has no developer telemetry backend. Recordings are stored locally and can be shared by you. Optional Wear synchronization can use Google's encrypted relay, and Android may back up or transfer preferences. GPS is optional during performance runs; raw routes are not saved. See the privacy policy for details.
Product names are used only to identify compatibility; EcuPulse is not affiliated with vehicle or adapter manufacturers.
