EDII Transport is the driver companion app for schools that use EDII's transport module. It is for bus drivers and attendants who have been registered by their school — there is no public sign-up.
Sign in with your phone number and a one-time code from your school, then everything a driver needs for the day is on one screen:
• Today's trips — see your pickup and drop routes, the assigned vehicle, and the ordered list of stops with their timings.
• Start Trip — turn your phone into the bus's live GPS beacon. It keeps sharing the bus location with the school and with parents while the screen is off, and queues points offline so nothing is lost when the network drops.
• Boarding — at each stop, mark each child Boarded, Dropped or Absent with a single tap. A wrong tap can be corrected, and every change is recorded.
• SOS — one button alerts the school with your location if anything goes wrong on the route.
• Take over — if another bus goes dark mid-route, an authorised driver can take over its live tracking.
• End Trip — stops the beacon and records the trip distance and duration.
Parents see the bus move on a live map in the EDII parent app, with an arrival estimate for their child's stop; the school sees the whole fleet, boarding attendance and safety alerts from the EDII admin dashboard.
Location is used only while a trip is running, to share the bus's position with the school and the parents of children on that route. It is never used for advertising.
EDII Transport is part of the EDII school platform. To use it, your school must have EDII transport enabled and must have registered you as a driver.
