About this app

EduBB Driver is the driver's app for organisations running on the EduBB transport
platform. It replaces the paper trip sheet: your assigned routes, the riders on each
one, and your vehicle's fuel and running records all live in one place.

Sign in with the domain and credentials your organisation issues you, and your day is
already laid out — no manual setup, no route typing.

ACCOUNT REQUIRED
This is a workforce app. You need an EduBB organisation domain and a driver account
created by your transport coordinator. It cannot be used without one.


RUN YOUR DAY

• Today's dashboard — every trip assigned to you, with scheduled times, start and end
points, and live status at a glance.
• Start and end trips with one confirmed tap. Actual times are recorded against the
schedule automatically.
• Route map — see the full route, your stops in order, and where you are on it.
• Outbound and return legs are handled separately, so an evening run picks up exactly
where the morning left off.


RIDERS AND STUDENTS

• Pick up and drop off riders from the trip list, with an optional note on any action.
• Scan a rider's QR code to check them in — no scrolling to find a name.
• Mark absentees with a reason, and see anyone already marked absent on the morning leg
before you set out in the evening.
• Send a proximity alert to a parent when you are approaching their stop.
• Call or message a parent directly, message every parent on the trip at once, or
message your school administration.
• Search the rider list by name, class or roll number.


VEHICLE AND FLEET RECORDS

• Fuel entries — litres, total cost, fuel type, odometer and vendor, with a photo of the
receipt attached.
• Daily running log — start and end odometer, trip count, running hours, fuel level,
vehicle condition and any issues or maintenance needed.
• Fleet dashboard — running totals for fuel spend and distance on the vehicle you are
driving.
• Certificates and permits for your vehicle, with clear valid and expired status so a
lapsed document never leaves the yard unnoticed.


HISTORY AND REPORTING

• Trip calendar and full trip history, filterable by month.
• Per-trip summary: riders carried, checked in, checked out and absent.
• Share a trip summary or your assignment straight from the app.


BUILT FOR THE ROAD

• Works for school buses, staff shuttles, charters and logistics fleets — the wording
and vehicle icons follow your organisation type, so a truck is never labelled a bus.
• Full English and Malayalam interface, switchable in the app.
• Light and dark themes, with dark mode easy on the eyes on early-morning and
after-dark runs.
• Location is recorded only while a trip is running, and a permanent notification tells
you exactly when tracking is on.
• Emergency call button always within reach.


PERMISSIONS WE USE AND WHY

• Location — shares the vehicle's position with your organisation while a trip is in
progress, so coordinators and parents can see the run, and so pickups and drop-offs
are stamped with where they happened. Tracking starts when you start a trip and stops
when you end it.
• Camera — scanning rider QR codes and photographing fuel receipts.
• Notifications — the trip-tracking notification, and alerts from your organisation.

What’s new

• My Pay — bata earned, advances taken and what is still owed, month by month. Request an advance from the app.
• Expenses and AdBlue/DEF logs, with the bill attached.
• My Mileage — km per litre over 30 days, 90 days or a year.
• Photograph the odometer to start a trip; fuel figures are read from the receipt.
• Get notified when a trip is assigned or reassigned to you.
• Overnight trips now close and total correctly.
