This app is used to determine the number of voice channels that each earth station TDMA can transmit as well as the transmission rate if the earth stations send data rather than digital speech. The data burst duration (Td) for each earth station is determined after entering the the number of earth stations N, the frame duration Td (in ms), the preamble time Tp (in us), guard band Tg (us), the the baud rate of the transmission bursts in Mbaud which are QPSK (which carry 2 bits) and the value for Rsp, which is the kbps value of the voice channels. The other outputs are the capacity of each earth station in Mbits/sec, Cb and the number of digital speech channels that can be carried by one earth station, n.
As an example, try N = 5, Tf = 2.0, Tp = 20, Tg = 5, Mbaud = 30 and Rsp = 64.
Your output should be Td = 375.0, Cb = 11.25 and n = 175.781 which needs to rounded down to 175.
