Revisiting Hanja is a Hanja learning app that helps you understand Hanja from the roots of their meaning, practice writing them, and revisit them just as you are about to forget them. All features are available for free.

■ 3,500 Hanja Characters by Level, from Grade 8 to Grade 1

Learn a few characters a day in the order of your Hanja proficiency level. When you first open the app, it briefly checks your current level and selects the characters you will learn today based on your target level. This allows both those preparing for proficiency exams and those just starting to study Hanja to progress at their own pace.

■ Why Does It Mean This Way? Understanding Hanja Through Etymology

The character 休 (Hyu, meaning "rest") depicts a person (人) leaning against a tree (木) to rest. By explaining the meaning through the constituent parts of the character, it helps you retain the information for a long time without having to memorize it.

See at a glance how character shapes have evolved through Oracle Bone Script, Bronze Script, Small Seal Script, and Regular Script. ■ Stroke Order Viewing and Writing Practice

It displays the stroke order stroke by stroke, and if you write directly in the blanks, it immediately tells you if the stroke count, order, and direction are correct.

It schedules review sessions to match when your memory starts to fade. You can adjust the daily amount and review intervals as you wish.

■ Solving Problems

Select the level and number of questions to solve problems involving pronunciation, reading words, and writing. You can also review past results and incorrect characters.

■ Over 16,000 Hanja Words and Example Sentences

For each character, it displays words containing that character, starting with the most common ones, helping to expand your Hanja vocabulary.

■ Handwritten Hanja Dictionary

You can look up unknown characters by writing them by hand or by pronunciation. You can also view your progress by level and the number of times you have learned each character at a glance.
